< BREUER INSTITUT >
UNIVERSITY PROJECT
Explanation
The semester spin around Breuer Works.
Each student should choose one of the Breuer’s Houses and make a deep analysis of the area, the entrances, the constructive systems, orientations, materials, spatial distibution, etc. (In my case, the study of the Caesar Cottage).
Inspiring in the Marcel Breuer’s Work, we should desing the New Research Center for the study of the Caesar Cottage in the environs of the original house.
The program was thought for 4 to 6 people and contains:
- Exterior common areas and parking
- Library
- Small whorkshop space for models
- Exterior patio for working
- Public bathroom
- Kitchen
- Living room
- Dinning room
- 4 rooms with private bathrooms
The place insertion was designed thinking about the visual continuity from the new building to the original, trying to hide it inside the biggest mass of trees to don’t distrub the original landscape from the Cottage.
The main volum is buried inside the earth, connecting with the old Cottage through the patio that isn’t visible from the outside. The main entrace to the buildings is lateral, through a corridor that articulate the night and individual zone, with the comon and daily areas. The materials, construction and way of thinking the architecture is bassed in the Breuer Work.

UNIVERSITY WORKSHOP
Explanation
Arquitectura Se Mueve, with colaboration of the Makea Tu Vida Collective, organized the second edition of the ‘RQR’ recycling whorkshop. This time the action were to disign and built a stand for street acts of ‘La Xarxa’ (a big UPV Association which join up all university associations).
The focus of the recycling whorkshop were to use the existing materials layed up in the main Polithecnical University storage which can’t be used in normal conditions, to give them a second life.
Students from dessign and architecture, reflect about the shape and materials of the different objects found in the storage (blackboards, stools, tables, computers, metal profiles, etc.) and how to take them out of their old function to use them again in a different way.
After that first reflection, the classes spin around the uses of the new stand and how to give to the new object an identificative shape.
The process outcoming were this small ‘Sputnik-XarxaSat’, which name cames from the pentagonal shape that reminds a small satelite: a mobile artifact that contains all that is needed to land in its stomage and a aditional stand for small places. It has also flip-flop awnings peripheral stools, a flip-flop exagonal table, boardtables, a computer and the possibility to project at nights in the morning awnings.

BUILDING HALL REMODELING PROJECT
Explanation
The building was buildt in 1945, an it’s situated in the Valencia’s Ensanche, an spetial area in the Valencia’s growing.
Nowadays, this old constructions have some accesible difficulties and sanitation problems in the acces floor that are not allow by the current laws.
Because of this new compulsory regulations, neighbours of the building wanted to change the distribution and external appearence of the entrance hall.
Our intention as architects were to focuss the discussions about the new space in the meaning of the entrance hall for the neighbours: It is a transition place which should collect places to talk, to wait and to storage at the same time that gives a representation lecture of the building and helps to solve the sanitation and accesible problems existing nowadays.
Meetings kept with neighbours, revealed also the necessity of a bike-storage and a small service-bathroom.
The process, the preliminary project and the final project where made hand to hand with neighbours and with the affection that good practice of the architecture requieres.
